This steampunk-inspired side-table is loaded with interesting details and paint effects. We dubbed this particular steampunk table as “steam-chunk” since we focused on the bigger, beefier elements of the look rather than the more delicate and intricate styles. This look worked better with our client’s overall sensibility.
The custom table could be a coffee table or side table, though our client ended up using it as a pedestal to display original movie props! The table is topped with a round glass top. Each of the various pipes, gauges and dials we used to create this one of a kind piece of furniture art were carefully distressed for a more realistic finished product. We love working in this style, and could see a table like this fitting in with Steampunk inspired decor or even something horror themed (perhaps, Freddy Krueger’s old boiler room?) or theme park themed (Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, anyone?) as well.
