Custom Display for Life Sized Star Wars Statues of C-3PO & R2-D2
A hand carved custom, themed display base for a pair of licensed limited edition life sized Star Wars statues of C-3PO and R2-D2.
One of our clients was looking for a unique way to display their licensed, limited edition, life sized Star Wars Statues of C-3PO and R2-D2. We suggested a faux rock themed display for their statues that would look right at home in their man cave along with their other Star Wars memorabilia. We came up with this hand sculpted foam base inspired by the rocky desert terrain of Tatooine. Merging sculpture & display, this diorama captures the feel of the film, dramatically setting the scene!
We worked hand in hand with our client to come up with a display that not only fit their vision for the display but also their physical space. There is nothing worse that finding out that a piece of art or furniture won’t fit the space it was intended for and we do everything we can to make sure this will not happen. We got several sets of measurements for the exact room where the life sized movie props would be displayed. We also made the large “stone” base break down into several pieces to make shipping and installation a breeze. To ensure a seamless look we incorporated the seams between the sections of the foam sculpture into the natural crevasses of the rock formation.
