Life Sized Boba Fett helmet for Star Wars Charity
Boba Fett helmet charity project.
We were honored to be asked to be a part of the Dented Helmet’s “As You Wish Project”, an art show and auction which raised over $135,000 for the Make a Wish Foundation! The project gave several dozen artists a kit of a movie quality Boba Fett helmet which they then modified in amazing, creative fashion!
For our entry which we have dubbed “Boba Recall,” we envisioned a tribute to the amazing work of Rob Bottin on the film Total Recall (the original Schwarzenegger version). We’ve always loved the classic “head split” effect from that movie and thought it would be very cool to give the Boba Fett helmet the same treatment. The final result is a life-sized bust that recalls a great moment in movie effects history (or perhaps something from a Boba Fett movie from the future?) Creating this bust was a lot of work, but also a lot of fun and all for a great cause!
